While your competitors pay for a brochure, their leads will be calling you.
Mark was paying $1,800 a month for a website that did nothing. Now he pays us less. And the leads more than doubled.
A real life client with the math below.
Your website is either earning its keep or quietly costing you
Most business owners we meet are paying somewhere between $200 and $2,000 a month for hosting, plugins, a maintenance plan, and a site nobody has touched in three years. It loads slowly. It was built for a search engine that retired a decade ago. It has never been measured, so nobody can say what it produces. The honest answer is usually nothing.
- You already have a website budget. The question is what it buys you.
- Buyers do not just Google anymore — they ask ChatGPT and Claude, and those answers get assembled from sites built to be understood.
- The operators in your trade mostly have not noticed yet. That gap is worth money, and it closes a little every month.
You did not get into business to fiddle with a website. You should not have to.
Here's why our formula works for you — and us
We get paid after it works, not before. Most shops want a deposit and a signature before anything happens. We would rather show you.
First — we only work with good people
This is the part that protects both of us. We take on operators who answer their phone, hold up their end, and run a business worth sending customers to. If that is not you, no arrangement we could write down would fix it — and we would both rather find that out on a ten minute call than three months in.
Months one to three — you cover costs only
Hosting, licences, tools. What it genuinely costs to run the thing. Nothing for our time. This is not free and we will not pretend it is — it is our time that is on the line, not your money.
You watch it work
We check in the whole way through. If it is not working you will hear it from us in month one, not month three. If you are not holding up your end, you will hear that too.
It worked — you pay for the work
You back-pay the discounted months at the full rate and we carry on. By then you are deciding with evidence instead of a proposal.
It did not — we shake hands
The engagement ends. You keep your accounts, your content and your domain. You owe us nothing past the costs you already covered. The site and the infrastructure stay with us.
There is no refund to chase because we never took the money up front. The thing at risk here is three months of our work.

We cut $1,800 a month before we sold him anything
Mark was paying about $1,800 a month to keep a WordPress site alive. We moved it, and that bill went away. He had made money on the relationship before he had spent a dollar with us on a new site.
Also September 2025
We wrote down what he actually had
About twelve enquiries a month across everything — phone, walk-ins, the website. We recorded that number before touching anything, because a result you cannot compare to a starting point is just a story.
January 2026
The new site went live, and the number moved
Six enquiries that first month. Nine in February. Nineteen in March. Twenty-seven in June — from the website alone, tracked and attributed, against a baseline of twelve across every channel he had. One channel now out-produces everything he owned put together, and that is before counting the calls and walk-ins nobody is tracking.
Pale bar = partial month, measured to the 27th.
These are website enquiries only — forms submitted on the site, with spam already stripped out. They do not include the phone calls, the walk-ins or the word of mouth that a site like this also brings in. We count what we can prove and leave the rest out.

Ninety-one percent of those enquiries are people asking what a container costs — not newsletter signups. About one in four becomes a sale, and a container runs around five thousand dollars. June's twenty-seven enquiries are roughly thirty-four thousand dollars of business.
Our websites start at $1,000 a month. Mark pays less than the $1,800 he was already wasting — so the site did not cost him a new budget line. It cost him less than the one he had.
One client, one market, one set of numbers. Yours will be different — your trade, your town, your competition, and how fast you answer your phone. We publish real figures because we would rather be checked than believed.
“Eighteen hundred a month, gone on a website doing nothing. Chris at muchstars sorted it out and my phone hasn't stopped. Best year we've had.”
You get Chris
Not an account manager, not a ticket queue, not a junior who inherited your file. The person who builds your site is the person who answers when you phone, and he lives here.
- One operator, a small number of clients, and no interest in becoming an agency.
- We take on work we can actually do properly. If that is not you, we will say so on the call.
- We expect you to hold up your end — answer the leads, get us the photos, tell us when something is wrong. That is the deal in both directions.
Go ahead and audit us
Ask ChatGPT or Claude about this page. Run it through PageSpeed. Open it on your phone in the truck with two bars of signal and count the seconds. Then do the same to the site you are paying for right now, and to the last three agencies that emailed you.
We build to a standard that survives being checked, because the people we work for build that way too. That is the whole pitch.

Tell me what you do, what you are paying now, and what you wish the website did. If we are not the right fit I will tell you on the call and you will have lost ten minutes.
